Benjamin, Sarah,andSamuel Holten, Jr., b. Mass, 1738
The January/February, 2003 issue of "American Spirit" magazine, D.A.R., has an article about this man's home:
"The house is named for Essex County Judge Samuel Holten, Jr., who was born in 1738 in Salem Village, later renamed Danvers. He started his own medical practice at age 18.Two years later he married Mary Warner of Gloucester...In 1768, he began his political career. He was a member of the Provincial Congress of 1774-75."There is further information on the career of Samuel.
"The first part of the house, built in 1670 by Benjamin Holten (whose wife Sarah, figured in the Salem witch trials)."
There also is further information on the house and a copy of a paintingdone probably quite some years ago, as well as a photograph of the house taken recently.
There is nothing stating the relationship between Benjamin, Sarah, and Samuel.
