Curtis Holten 1899-1970
Uncle Curtis Holten was married and divorced sometime between 1920 and 1945. He is said to have had a son, with whom he lost contact. We would like to find this son and any family he may have had.
Curtis Bennet Holten was born on March 15, 1899. His father was Curtis B.E. Holten of Middletown Delaware, and his mother was Ella Dale from Pocomoke City, Maryland. Curtis was the oldest of six children; his siblings were five younger sisters: Ellen, Marian, Anne, Louise, and Edith. His family lived in Philadelphia until between 1910-1920 when they moved to Clementon, NJ, then to Collingswood, NJ.
A WW1 draft registration card dated 12 September, 1918 shows that Curtis had been just about to matriculate at University of Pennsylvania, when he had to register for the draft. He served in Europe in the First World War.
Curtis B Holten appears in the 1920 census, age 21, working in the produce business and living as a boarder in the Harry S Caryl household in Scranton, Pennsylvania. At some point after 1920 and before the Second World War, Curtis returned to the Philadelphia area or to southern New Jersey. He was married, then divorced. He had one or two children. Probably one, who was a son. He may have lost contact with his ex-wife and son.
Curtis also served in WII: dates of enlistment were 1942-1943. After the war, he lived in the greater Philadelphia area for a while, but died in 1970 in Georgia.
He is buried in Andersonville National Cemetery in Americus, Georgia:

Curtis Holten's sisters had eight children between then, all of whom also had children. If we can locate Curtis Holten's son and descendents, we have further info and some photos we could share. We hope to hear from any descendents he may have had.
Thanks very much,
Liz J
