I had read in an obituary for one of children of Mark Homan, son of John and Elizabeth, that Mark was of welsh decent but I don't really know that Homan is Welsh in any different spelling.I guess I'm just looking for someone who has information confirming my family's arrival in the U.S.The spelling of Homan that is German would be Hohman or Hohmann.I guess that is how our name was spelled?I'm not sure.I wonder how common the Homan name was/is in Germany. Is it like the name Smith here in the U.S. do you know?
