Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
The great majority of Honakers in America are descended from Swiss-German immigrant Hans Jacob Honaker, who landed at Philadelphia in 1749. We know the history of his family back to the Middle Ages and have documented the existence of over 27,000 descendants to date, with more reported every day.
A lot of Honakers married Maynards, but the only Emmaline we know who was born in 1862 did not. We have so many James Honakers that time doesn't enable us to check whether any had a daughter named Emmaline. We do not have any Sarah Hess in our index.
In 2001 “Greg,” firstname.lastname@example.org, posted a GenForum query requesting information on Emma Honaker and James Mitchell Maynard. He said Emma was born 8 Jun 1862, died 29 Apr 1942, was buried in Ashland, Boyd Co., Ky. She married James in Anderson Co., Ind. Born 20 May 1852, died in 1912, buried in Ashland. Greg did not reply to our query for additional information.
If you would like info about us and our publications, or would like to know when and if we are able to connect Emmaline to the known descendants of Hans Jacob, please send your name & mailing address to email@example.com or Honaker Family Assn., Inc., P.O. Box 3636, Alexandria VA 22302-0636, 703-751-7321. With kind regards, your cousin, Tom Hanlin, volunteer.
