Please provide the following information so we can help you:

Your grandmother's full name, and if known, the date she was born & died. Same for your grandfather, your mother and dad, and yourself and any husband you may have.

We are not able to help you unless we know who your grandparents were, which you did not say. We will try to match your information with what is in our computerized records of 27,000 known descendants of the immigrant, but we need to know the approximate lifespan of the people, to restrict the search.

You are descended from Swiss immigrant Hans Jacob Honaker, who landed in Philadelphia in 1749, lived for several years in Philadelphia, then moved to Maryland, then to Virginia. One of his sons, Martin, was the first Honaker to settle in Russell County, and many of his line still live in Southwest Virginia today.

With kind regards, your cousin, Tom Hanlin, volunteer, Honaker Family Assn., P.O. Box 3636, Alexandria, VA 22302-0636, 703-751-7321.
