Honaker Rifle
Posted by: Michael Honaker (ID *****5081) Date: February 24, 2006 at 14:34:33

I have a Honaker Rifle that has been passed down to me from my dad, Joe Honaker who obtained it from his uncle, Charles Honaker who was an antique dealer that came upon it. At the top of the barrel is an inscription that looks like Jae or Joe Honaker for Mark McClellan.

The sotck is curly maple and in excellent condition. It has a heavy barrel is very long such as a "turkey rifle".

I spoke with some peopel at the National Firearms Museum and they may be interested in taking thr rifle into their collection.

I am not looking to make a cent off of this. My main concern is keeping the rifle in the shape its in for as long as possible. I have sisters and my daughter is 19 and dearly loved her grandfather such as all of us kids of our dad. My options also lie in one of those directions. My mom seemed to like the idea of the Museuem.

What might some of the comments from all of the other Honaker family be?
