See Honaker Family in America, Abraham Chapt., p. 939. James Jackson[4] Honaker (Andrew Jackson[3], Henry[2], Abraham[1]), born 29 Sep 1867, was shot and killed 10 Mar 1897 as a payroll office employee at Shawnee Mine, Eckman, McDowell Co., W.Va. He married Louticia Virginia Grim 23 Feb 1890 in Mercer County. Born ca. 1868. Three children reported, Leotia, d. 1892; Mattie, d. 1893; Mamie, b. 1894, m. Cleveland C. Martin, three children reported. That's all we know on this line.

If you are a descendent of James Jackson we would very much appreciate it if you could bring us up to date with what you know. You would also benefit by having a copy of this book, which has a lot of information on Abraham Honaker. The book is $66.50 including postage. Add $3 tax if you are in Virginia. We also sell a photo layout of an Abraham rifle. Abraham was a master gunmaker, one of the first in America, and is perhaps the best known of the immigrant Hans Jacob Honaker's children.

We do not offhand know the town you mentioned. There are Honakers who lived in Bradford, W.Va. and Radford, Va., but we have not indexed the book to cross reference towns.

Kind regards, Tom Hanlin, volunteer, Honaker Family Assn., P.O. Box 3636, Alexandria VA 22302.
