Susannah was married to John Honeybun on 24/5/79 at Loders.John was the son of Henry Honeybun and Anne Marsh. Unfortunately I'm still working on the Henry's of this period - five were born in Loders over a 50 year period.
William and Maud had three!on 1.7.1716, 18/4/1735, and 20/1/48.
John, son of William and Maud had two, one on 1.8.1756 and one on 8.4.1770.
Either way, it means the line goes back through William and Maud.
William was born on 3.11.1684, (he married Maud Marsh in 1715)
William was the son of Richard and Anne.Richard was born about 1658.
Richard was the son of Richard and Mary Simmes who married on 21.1.1639.He was born in 1614.
Hope that helps! I would love more details of the families which you mentioned in Newfoundland.
Travers seems to be a fairly common name in West Dorset too.
Best wishes, Jill Honeybun
