Annie HOPKINSON - Nottinghamshire (?) England
Posted by: Lynne Fanton (ID *****0025) Date: October 23, 2005 at 04:41:03

My Great-grandfather was George Bacon (born approx 1883). He married Annie HOPKINSON (born approx 1881/82) in Sutton-in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire on 25.05.1901. Both are shown as living in Quarry Yard but there is no reference to Annie in the 1901 census, taken just a month before.
There is no father's name shown on the marriage certificate so I'm stuck! Unable to track back.
I have three possibles for Birth records, but cannot double-check which might be right.
The only other info I have is that Annie may have had a sister Sarah / Sara, but I'm unable to tie down references of both to confirm. Also have no idea whether Sarah is older or younger.
Can anyone help?
George and Annie's children include: George, Annie (known as Nance?), Harry, Iona, Arthur, John, Roy.
I understand Annie died when Roy was very young - possibly in the early 1930s.
Any further info gratefully received.
