These Hopps are in the 1900 NYC census. I am looking for information on a Gertrude Hopp, who seems to appear twice in the census. Once in NYC with her family, and again in Morris County, NJ with her uncle & aunt. I have yet to determine the relationship - is Charles the brother of her aunt or is Mary the sister of either her aunt or her uncle? I do have a Maria Charlotte Voigt (My GGAunt) who was born January 24, 1862 according to my records, who might be the spouse of Charles Hopp. Her aunt & uncle with whom she was staying were John A Voight and his wife Susan. I also show Charles working as a railroad engineer in Hoboken at age 21, staying with the family of a co-worker. Let me know if anything seems to fit.
