Bob....My great grandmother came in 1910 from Lithuania. Not sure what my great grandparents did over there. No one is alive to have any info on them. My grandfather, Edward Hopp settled in Carteret, NJ and started in a jewelry business and ran it sometime until 1972. He had a brother who was named Jake(Jacob?). My grandparents were married in 1924 and they both died in 1976.
One other thing...my father told me that the Hopp name...(in this family) was shortened from a longer name but no one can confirm that.

I have names of Hopp family members but never communicated with anyone other than my father and his brother. It may be a good idea to start doing so.

Happy New Year to you. ...Jeff
