Thanks for the reply. I used the same reasoning of using the birthyear of Mary Ann(1864)to "fix" the birthyear of Michael Borders as 174X (VA/PA/GER?). I was just hoping someone had more positive proof of Mary's age. Her youngest child mentioned in Michael's Will was Ruth, b 1789 Orangeburgh Dist SC, d 1874 Haywood Co TN, m 1810 Jackson Co GA, Alex Bachelor. At that time (using our guess of 1844)Mary Hopton Borders would have been age 45. Lately its beginning to look like Andrew Borders 1793 SC is a son not mentioned in Michael's Will.
His mother would then have been 49. Is that stretching it a bit? Still searching, WSB
