Hi Ruth,

My data (which may be incorrect, but is also the same with a submission on the LDS site) shows:

Jesse and Sarah FINCH HOPTON (she was born 9 Mar 1792 to Samuel and Peninah BROWN FINCH, my 4th great grandparents. Jesse and Sarah m. 21 May 1815 Carmichaels, Greene County, PA). Thay had 8 children that I am aware of: Manerva, Hannah, Wesley, Elizabeth, Samuel, Mary (m. Jeremiah Williamson, 4 ch),William, Maria. These children were all b. between about 1816-1830 in PA.

Does this match with what you have? Is it possible that your Samuel is the grandson of Jesse and Sarah FINCH HOPTON? I would like to compare notes..
