Our ancestor Elizabeth Hopton, Joseph Johnson's wife, had a daughter, Abigail - one of eight sisters, who married James Berdine in Green Co., PA. There is supposed to be a book which gives the ancestry of these Hoptons. My aunt met a man in Green County who had the book and it is said to have gone back a long ways in England.
