Fredrick de la Horine (1715--1769)
I am a descendant of Elizabeth Horine, daughter of Frederick who was born in Germany (Alsace-Lorraine) abt 1763.She married David Foreman (Fuhrman also a German immigrant) in Lincoln Co KY 18 Apr 1788 and after his death in 1811 in Mercer Co KY, she moved with her son to Pike Co IL where she died 11 Apr 1855 and is buried in the Blue River Cemetery near Detroit Pike Co IL.There were nine children born to this union.
I am wondering if anyone is researching the ancestry of Frederick.Do we know on what ship this family immigrated?Where they landed? How they got from there to KY?Do we have a name for the German lady Frederick married? It seems the more I learn, the more questions I have.I have lots of information about this family -- particular the Foreman branch, but nothing before Elizabeth.I would love to hear from anyone who is working on this so we could compare notes.
