Hi Barbara, I will send the Excel file again.
Yes I believe my ancestor John Hornby b1772 who married Ann Heaton in 1798 was a son of John H. and Mary Etock. Charles was his brother. I reckon Charles married 3 times. Because of the various John Hornbys from Turton, it is harder to track marriages for John b 1772. His first wife Ann definitely died in Feb.1801. He could have married again in 1801, I suppose. I need to check the records for St Peters to see if it mentions marital status. I can't prove it was 'my' John who married Janet Haslem in 1809 except it was in his parish and he was a widower. There isn't a burial at Deane of an Alice Hornby between 1801 and 1812.
Can you clarify what you would like to find out about Albert Marsh as some records are in Manchester and some oin Bolton. I can't easily get to Blackburn I'm afraid. (I don't drive so depend on trains!)
