I've just read an http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-genforum/email.cgi?110416526http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi-genforum/email.cgi?110416526 I have 2 Hornby girls in my tree. They both married Peter Williams.
1. Peter Williams (24 Oct 1810) married Hannah Hornby (She
could be Hannah Hornby Pemberton born 23/04/1807, Baptised 24/05/1807
English Presbyterian, Toxteth Park, Parents James Pemberton and Rachel
Hornby. If so James and Rachel may have been married 18/08/1805 St
Paul's Liverpool. OR
she could be Hannah Hornby born 15 Aug 1813, Baptised 19 Sept 1813
English Presbyterian, Toxteth Park, daughter of John & Ester
Hornby.), probably before the birth of what I think was their
first child Hannah Pemberton Williams whose birth was abt 1833 , 2nd
child may be Robert James Williams born abt 1835. Both children were
born in Liverpool.
Hannah must have died and Peter Williams remarried.
He
married Jane Hornby 19 Dec 1837 Church of Holy Trinity, Liverpool,
Lancashire, England, UK. Marriage Certificate Entry 17, 1837, Holy
Trinity Church in the parish of Liverpool in the county of Lancaster.
In the presence of Richard Cooper & David Williams.
Registration Dec Qtr 1837 Liverpool Vol 20, page 232. Jane Hornby's father is James Hornby a watchmaker.
I do not know the relationship between Jane Hornby and Hannah Hornby.
Do any of these people fit into your tree? I notice an Uncle James Hornby was noted as
Uncle James Feb 1850
= (uncle) James Hornby - March quarter 1850 West Derby volume 20 page 266
Does he fit into your tree anywhere that can identify him belonging to Jane?
