John Horrocks & Elizabeth - Wigan
Posted by: Vanda Hopwood Date: November 17, 2001 at 07:50:45

Hi there,

I have just found a marriage entry for my Peter HORROCKS (born circa 1819 in Wigan)& Ellen BOLTON, in St. Benedicts Roman Catholic Church, Wigan in 1848.

It says that Peter's parents were John & Elizabeth HORROCKS. John was described as a weaver from Standishgate in Wigan.

The next entry shows a Phillip HORROCKS getting married the following year with same parents John & Elizabeth. (Brothers maybe)?

Do these 'HORROCKS' ring any bells?

Best wishes, Vanda
