Your last "post" came at a crisis time in my life or I would have respnded earlier. My brother, who was in the hospital, died the day after your "post". He was single and my only sibling !! Since then, my normal organization has been somewhat "disorganized".
I have the maiden name of Gabriel Jones' wife in the 10,000 + or - pages of back-up information for a book published on different southern Patterson families. I also have some of his descendents. Gabriel was known as "THE Attoney of the Shennandoah Valley" and often faced Peter Hogg on the other side of the aisle. Both were named to administer the estate of Thomas Fairfax. But Peter died during that process. I will eventually find the record that I have showing the maiden name of his wife but I remember she was from an established family of eastern Virginia. Gabriel died in Rockingham County, Virginia, and his will is abstracted on line.... I believe.... possibly as part of the Chalkley Volumes on Augusta County, which I know are digitally available. If not, I'm sure I have that, too. I will respond again later.
