My name is Gary Rosenberg,I'm the +2 grandson of Thomas Horsey and Rachel Smith Horsey. My mother is Ethel daughter of Cora Gravier. My +1 grandmother was Margaret Gravier married to a Benjamin Gravier born on a ship coming over from France with his parents to collect the money from the Louisiana purchase. His parents both died from cholera or some kind of fever and a family in New Orleans named mills oversaw his welfare. Hold on to your hats, I'm about to reveal something about Thomas Horsey. The whole family; as far back as my +1 grandmother said to my mom by the way; said my +2 Grandfather was full-blooded Cherokee so I don't know where he ties into the other Horseys, that is why they went by all those other names so as not to get caught and put on a reservation, also the Cherokee language does not have the letter "R" sound in it but what I don't understand is how they never got caught, unless they wore long sleeves and a hat and dressed as white people. The reason Thomas never was on the 1860 census was because he was murdered somewhere between 1855 to 1860. My +1 grandmother Margaret was married 2 times once ta a Patrick love; with no children and the second to Ben Gravier with 4 girls in all.My grandfathers name was Charles Edward Foster. He came from Quaker stock.Well if there's any thing else you want to know I will be happy to tell you.
