I too descend directly from Stephen Horsey, Sr. born allegedly 1620 in England. The LDS lists his father as also being named Stephen, but I have no documentation to verify that LDS listing.

Stephen Sr. allegedly claimed descent from the Horsey family of England dating back to about the time of Henry II. according to information on the Northampton Co., VA Genweb page.

Stephen was in Northampton Co. by 1645.
