Amazing how many times the name of Horsey is misspelled in the census. I think I found Thomas on the 1850 census for Morgan Co. His wife is a hard read but it looks like "Rahsmith." The family had her as a Rachel Burns. Anyhow, the child is Smith. I have Smith in 1860 still in Morgan Co. and living with another hard read. Looks like Amon, female, same age his mother would be. And, now he has Margaret, his sister, living in the household. Thomas is gone. In 1870 still in Morgan Co. I have Smith living with the Deskin family and they have a daughter named Frances - I am assuming this is the Frances he married and took to Arkansas. I can't find Margaret in 1870 but in 1880 I found a Margett married to Robert S. Graves in Blount County. I don't know if this is my Margaret. We know Margaret married a Graves and had children; Cora, Ben, Martha, Eudie. Cora married a Fisher. I am having a very hard time finding Margaret on the census. Can't find Fisher either. Can anyone tie into this? Any ideas on the Rahsmith name?
