James B. Horsley and wife Elizabeth
I am interested in James B. Horsley and his wife Elizabeth who appeared on the census in Terrell County, GA in 1870 and 1880.In 1860 they were in Bibb County.I think they were the James Horsley and Elizabeth Howard who were married in Monroe Co., GA in 1845.There are undocumented IGI entries that give James's birth and death dates as 28 Oct 1824 - 6 Jan 1884, and that show his wife as Elizabeth Howard.
My primary interest is in Elizabeth Howard, who I think to be a daughter of James Howard and his wife Sarah (maybe a Castleberry).James died in St. Clair Co., AL c. 1835, and some time thereafter his brother John became guardian of his children, including a daughter named Elizabeth, and moved them back to Monroe Co., GA, where the family had lived before moving to Alabama.
The guardianship accounts filed by John contain no entries for Elizabeth after 1846, but I have not found a receipt for her inheritance signed by James Horsley.
Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.I am happy to share what I have on her Howard line.
