Richard Horton was born in Southold, NY in 1727. (This branch of the family is very interesting, and you should check it out!) He married about 1750 to Elizabeth Harrison. She was born on Oct. 30, 1729 in Philadelphia.
Her deathdate is unknown, but he died around 1773 in Chester, PA.
His parents are Caleb Horton (b. Dec 2,1687; d. Aug 6, 1772)and Phebe Terry (b.June 5, 1690 in Southold; d. Dec 24, 1767).The were wed on Dec 10, 1714.They, in fact, were first cousins, his father Barnabus being her mother Mary's brother.Cool, huh?
Elizabeth's parents were Samuel Harrison (b. abt.1698 in Gloucester Co. NJ; d. Sep 1735) and Sarah Ferris (b. abt 1670; d. Dec 24, 1767).The were wed Oct 8, 1719.Sarah's pedigree is long and rich...culminating with the Plantagenets...so well worth the toil of researching.
This information is listed in my families records. My last name is Ehrensberger...but the list back to the Horton's is as follows...Visneski, Barnett 4x, Horton.Perhaps you could tell me how we're related?
Good luck!
