Banks McLaurin, Jr., 5843 Royal Crest Dr., Dallas, TX 75230 wrote the DESCENDANTS OF BARNABAS HORTON 1990 & revised it 1995. Address was current in May 1996. The publication is spiral bound, not indexed & informal in presentation. It is laid out in correct genealogical format & fairly easy to follow but the numbering system is an odd letter system that relates to his own genealogy. The first volume is 344 pp. The second is a sort of annotated bibliography which continues to p. 454. (110p.)
The old HORTON GENELOGY by George F. Horton 1876 is ok if you are able to allow for the usual shortcomings of that period in time. It is at it's best with the lines of Caleb & Jonathan and it's worst with Joshua & Joseph.
HORTONS IN AMERICA by A.H. White 1929 also covers the spectrum of both Westchester & Southold lines from Barnabas but is grossly deficient & inexcusably unreliable.
I do not now recall what I paid for Bank's publication but it was probably around $60 or so. The biggest problem with it is the lack of an index - I just make notes on the inside of the cover. Good luck.
