Horton lineage middle 1800s to present.

Looking for tie with Horton's from middlle 1800's to present from Horton's in Middletown NY. Starting back 2 generations from Wm. Harrison Horton.

My name is William Burkhart. I was born in 1933. My father was William Burkhart Sr. and my mother was Isabell Burkhart (Isabella Duck.)

My mother was a daughter of Lester P. Duck and Florine (Horton) Duck, my grandmother who died around the time I was born.

Florine was a daughter of J. Decator Horton & ? Mary Danes.

Decator was the son of Wm. Harrison Horton whose father was probably a Barnabas Horton.

I have been piecing together the Horton genealogy from the first Horton (De Horton) 1200 through to Joseph Horton, who was the father of Barnabas Horton (1600-1680-Southold, NY) and Thomas Horton (1596-1640?-Springfield MA,)

I have followed both these lines to determine where I fit in & also looking for patriots from the Revoutionary War.

It looks like we have a General in the family from the Thomas side. It also looks like a Silas (Jr) is in the mix also.

Can anyone help tie this together for me. I have a lot more info to share. I especially like the witches in our backgrounds.

Thank you.
