Henry Hanks and Fanny Horton

My family of Harwards, Barbees, Yates, etc etc...come from Chatham co, Orange & Wake, NC. My 3rd Great Grandfather Henry Harward (aka Harrod, Harwood, Howard) moved from Orange Co. Nc with his wife Susan Sears to Tennessee. Their son Mahagel harward married Lucy E Hanks, 1857 in Dickson county, Tn. She is said to be Cherokee Indian. I cannot find anything on her. I decided to look at Chatham county, Nc again and then I found Henry Hanks and Fanny Horton listed as Mulattos and living in Chatham. Henry would be the right age to be a brother to Lucy. does anyone know anything about Henry Hanks? Please help if you can, Lucy is a long time brick wall and I would love to find more about her. She had my great grandfather, Isaac Daniel Howard (Harward) and he says he was born in missouri. I don't know if thats correct, as he is an 8 yr old boy in Shelby Co. Tn with his dad and stepmom. So I wonder if Lucy died in childbirth in 1863. Please help.
