In corresponding with AHWilson, I told him of the Hortons in TN who had moved to Illinois (my ggrandfather Elcana and gggrandfather Jesse M Horton.Jesse's dad was Daniel. He thanked me as he had no knowledge of the Hortons who had moved to Illinois. Both Elcana and Jesse are buried in Northfork Cemetery in Decatur, IL (my home town). My father was named Merlin Elcana Horton(Jess,Elcana,Jesse). My grandfather Jess is buried at Cerro Gordo, IL. Daniel is buried in the Horton Cemetery in Athens, TN.I now live near Lenoir City, TN. and have visited that cemetery. Daniel's father was Abraham. I'm assuming you already know all of the above. In Knoxville, I met a lady who does indexing (whatever that is) for ancestry.com.She worked on my ancestry and came up with what I initially wrote tracing me back to Thomas Horton, brother of Barnabas and son of Joseph.I will be happy to send you a copy of what she gave me if you wish.
