Marilynn

When did she come to America? When she married William SEARFOSS? Did you find the ancestor on 1930 census? The census should have notation Na-naturalized, Al-alien or Pa-first paper. Did she have social security numbers? Her SS-5Form would have a place of birth and parents names.

What was language spoken by this ancestor?

You might want to look for her church marriage record and state marriage application. The sons church baptismal record should also have information about the parents. The KEY is to finding out from where the ancestor came.
