SCHRAM CITY - Janet M. Hosick, 64, of Schram City, formerly of Hillsboro, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Nov. 24, 1941, in Smithboro, the daughter of Godfrey and Lela Williams Hubbard. She married Don Hosick in 1960 in Augusta, Ga.; he died in 1977.

Mrs. Hosick was a graduate of Mulberry Grove High School. She served with the Women's Army Corps. She worked for the state of Illinois as a secretary.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, where she was also a member of the choir and bell choir. She had been an election judge in Schram City.

Survivors: four sons, Terry J. (wife, Juanita) Hosick, Michael A. Hosick and David A. (wife, Leslie) Hosick, all of Hillsboro, and Robert D. Hosick of Litchfield; three daughters, Dianna M. (husband, Jim) Van Syckle of Dowling, Mich., Barbara L. (husband, Phillip) Denson of Anniston, Ala., and Dawn R. Murkin of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren; sister, Millie Griffin of Pierron; and three brothers, Melvin Hubbard of Reno, Bill Hubbard of Gallup, N.M., and Larry Loughary of Greenville.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Bass, Patton, Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Dr. Ronald Rhodus officiating. Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro.
