Hospelhorn Surname inSeneca Co., Ohio
I have two questions relating to the surname Hospelhaun.
Who were the parents of David Hospelhaun/Haspelhorn?David was born in MD abt 1814 died in Seneca Co. OH after 1880.
Who are the parents of Angeline, Charles, George, S.H.[Samuel Henry], and Charles Hospelhaun? All born OH
These all are found in Seneca Co., Ohio and may be children of David Hospelhaun.I found a marriage for David Hospelhorn to Martha Kuder Aug 12, 1852 Seneca Co., Ohio. However this cannot be the mother of all these children, she must be a second wife.David is the only Hospelhaun/Horpelhorn I have found in Seneca Co. on the 1840 census and he has one female the right age for Angeline.
In 1850 David is listed without a wife and Angeline and Charles are living with other families.George or Samuel are not listed. They were born in the 1840s and should be.
In 1860 I find David with his wife Martha, and a son John age 16.This could be George as he would have been abt. 16 in 1860.
1870 George is living in the City of Tiffin, Seneca Co.He is single and he is living in the household [560-621] of Utz, Samuel age 31, George is age 25 and is listed working in Woolen Mill. This census was taken July 26, 1870. I found a marriage for George W. Hospelhorn married Sue Startsman Dec 21, 1870 Seneca Co., Ohio.1910 census says George and Louise have been married 40 years. That fits with this date.
In 1880 David is age 66 born MD
