LLOYD WEBSTER HOUGH in NC
I am looking for information on the parents of
LLOYD WEBSTER HOUGH, b. March 20, 1879 in Washington, Tyrrell or Pamlico Co, NC
d. Feb. 20, 1923 Savannah, GA
m. Daisy Margaret Hutson, 1914, Savannah, GA
I think but have been unable to prove by census or birth dara that the parents of Lloyd Hough were:
William Thomas Hough, b. Dec. 18, 1852, Tyrrell Co, NC
!860 Census Tyrrell Co
William 8, son of John and Anna Hough
Wm T Hough witnessed wedding April 1875 Scuppernong Township, Washington Co
July 1880-Wm Hough witnessed Bateman-Barnes wedding Tyrrell Co
1880 Washington Co Census
Hough, WT, merchant single
In family papers, it says:
William Thomas married Dosiah White in 1878.She died due to complications of childbirth.WT left child, Lloyd b. 1879, with her relatives and moved away.
WT married Martha B. Sawyer Feb. 8, 1882, No. 3 Township, Pamlico Co.She died Nov. 7, 1882 due to complications of childbirth.The child, Pattie, b. Nov. 1, 1882, d. Dec. 1884.
He sold the farm and shows up-
Hough, W T & Co, Bayboro, General Merchant listed in Pamlico Gazette 1883-1884
WT m (3) Cora Pauline McCotter Aug. 10, 1893, Pamlico Co
WT died shortly after 1910 NC Census and is buried in McCotter Cemetery, Pamlico Co
To confuse matters, I found the following:
James Davenport, 21, married Dosia White, 25, on July 30, 1879 at Benarva Farm with Ed Hough as one of the witnesses (Edward Hough was an older brother of William T)
So many pieces to the puzzle, but no answers- any information would be appreciated.
Thank you.
