Mrs. Carrie Belle Householder, 90, died Friday June 4, 1954, at 8:23 pm in East Liverpool Osteopathic Hospital, Ohio. She had been a patient at the hospital for 10 days. She was a passenger on the Ohio River Excursion boat which sank July 4, 1883,and she is one of the last remaining surviviors of the Sciota Diaster at Mingo Junction, Ohio She is also one of the oldest residents of the Hammondsville District. She had been a resident of this community for 76 years. She was a member of the former Hammondsville Christian Church. She was born October 13, 1863 in Arroyo, Hancock Co., WV her husband Wesley Householder preceded her in death october 24, 1899. She is survived by 1 daughter; Mrs. Mayme F. Cronin of Hammondsville, Jefferson Co., Ohio with whom she resided. 1 sister; Mrs. Nannie Gould of Wellsville, Columbiana Co., Ohio 2 grand children 5 great grandchildren 8 great-great grandchildren viewing will be in MacLean Funeral home of Wellsville Oh. services will be in the family home in Hammondsville, Oh. Rev. Glenn Brunstetter of the Hammondsville Methodist Church officiated. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Wellsville, Columbiana Co., Ohio Notify Administrator about this message?
