This may or may not help you because important information is missing. Among my ancestors is a "Sophrona" Howard, daughter of Frederic Howard Jr. and Ruth Grover. Frederic Howard Jr. was born at Phillips, Maine May 28, 1801. Ruth Grover also comes from Phillips. Frederic and Ruth had at least four children: Lizza, Sophrona, Ichabod, and Mariah. I have no birth dates or places for these children so I don't know their true birth order. The birth order given here comes from a family book I inherited and can't vouch for its accuracy. I don't have Frederic and Ruth's marriage date or place, but if we speculate they married about 1825, probably at or near Phillips, and Frederick and Ruth removed from Phillips to the Manchester area, and Sophrona is their last child, not the second, then your Sophronia's birth year about 1832 is in the ballpark.
Phillips, Maine is about 100 miles northeast of Manchester, New Hampshire, a long distance in the 1830's; however, Phillips was on the railroad line so Frederic and Ruth could have easily traveled southwest to Manchester.
Another coincidence: Four of Frederic's siblings, born at Phillips, are called Elizabeth, Sophronia, Maria, and Ichabod, nearly the same as Frederic and Ruth's children.
Might be worth exploring, if just to eliminate this family from your quest. Please keep me posted because I have good information on Frederic's siblings and parents.
