Hi Jim,

I am not sure if we have the same family or not, but here is mind.

I have a death record for Nancy Cole (Howarth. She was born 5/1/1812 in Newburgh, NY and was married to Henry Howarth in Cohoes, NY. Her death record says her mother was Percilla Cole. Percilla was born in 1791, in Canada and died 10/9/1881 at the age of 90 years in Cohoes. She is buried in Waterford Rural Cemetery. This is by Cohoes, NY. She was married to James Howarth.

Cohoes is on the line from Canada, however, I would say it is about 150 miles from the Canadian border, so I don't know about it being a terminal for immigration. I did hear that during prohibition that Cohoes was a popular stop for alclhol coming down from Canada.

I noticed that you are looking for a Beaudoin. I have a neighbor and her name is Catherine Beaudion. Her husband was John. He died in the 50's, I think he had family near the Canadian border and maybe in Canada. Let me know if you want more info on them.
