Hi Lyn
To be honest I only found Henry last week, living with his wife Betty and daughters Esther, Mary (Polly) Jane (my Gt Grandmother)and Dinah, there's was also another sister Hannah maybe too young for this 1881 census. They were living in Livesey, Blackburn, the census states Henry was born 18840 in Chorley, the only bpt I have found for a Henry 4th June 1840 St Lawerence, Chorley parents William and Elizabeth.
So there is no proof that this Henry is my Henry, I have sent for birth certificate, but that won't prove it, what I need to do see if I can find these in the 1841/51 census and if there is an Edward there as well, we may have found the conection or find the marriage of Henry and wife Betty.
I have been searching but nothing has come up yet.
I'd be interested to know what info you have on the Howarths. Something may click, would you know which church they went to?
Also I originally had my Gt Grandmother down as Jane Haworth the 1881 Census down as Howarth.
