Mary Howarth, nephew Henry Sharples
Posted by: Martine Murphy (ID *****9071) Date: February 18, 2008 at 09:12:51

I am trying to trace my great grandfather and his parents. It seems that he may have been brought up by an aunt, Mary Howarth who was a publican. Henry is down as having been born in Hulme, Chorlton and lived in Regent Street, Salford in the 1871 census. Also on my other side, my great, great, great grandfather was reputed to be a John Howarth whose son was Edward Cassidy. He never married my ggggrandmother Ann Cassidy. Edward was born in 1857 in Stalybridge, Lancs. Any info on either side would be appreciated.
Martine
