Betty HEWAT, East Lothian, SCT

My 3g grandfather Alexander OGILVIE was born 1776/1777 in Haddington, East Lothian Scotland, according to the 1841 census (when he was living in Court St, St Johns, Haddington with his wife Margaret EDMOND and family). I believe his parents were Walter OGLIBIE and Betty HEWAT (or HOWAT or HEWIT)and that he was baptised Alexander OGLIBIE 15-Jun-1777 in Haddington (this couple had at least five other children, all in Haddington).
Is anyone researching this name and area who could confirm his parentage, or who may know anthing at all about Betty HEWAT?
The surname OGLIBIE does not appear to be a mistake for OGILVIE, for it consistently appears over the years. There are several other variations, eg Oglivie, Ogilbie, even Ogelbee. The surname HEWAT occurs most times, with just one occurrance each of HOWAT and HEWTIT.
