Forgive me "Jackie" is a Nickname, named after my father Jack (John) B. Howat. My birthname is RuthElizabeth. All i know of my grandfather John B. Howat, was his fathers name was William. john was a postman worked for the post office in Braddock, Pa. all his life. William was an architect(sp?) or an engineer. My grandmothers (john's wife) maiden name was Elizabeth Miller. John is of Scottish decent. Elizabeth was I believe of brittish decent. they had oone son, Jack born in 1921.
