Jenny and Tom, Do either of you have any information on a James Howatt who married a Janet Cowan 3/18/1814 Old Cumnock, Ayrshire? They had three children that I know of, James, Jean, and Thomas. Jean m. John Borland and came to America in 1848. James also immigrated to America @1852. I was told by a grandmother that the names of Hamilton and Ogilvie appear in the family line, but I don't know where they fit in...whether Cowan or Howat. If either of you has anything that might help, please contact me. Judy
