Jean Howat married George Whittom, 19/07/1805 in Muirkirk, Ayr. Their children were:
- Helen Whittom b 1806
- George Whittom b 1815
- Elizabeth Whittom b 1817
- Samuel Whitton b 1819
- Sarah Whittom b 1821
- Jean Whittom b 1923
- Gavin Whittom b 1925
- Mary Whittom b 1831

Would anyone else be researching this family? In time the Whittom name has changed to Whitton.
