Of no interest to myself but came across the following in Galston Cemetery Inscriptions:-
1. by Robert HOWAT, daugher Christina HOWAT d. 25.4.1847 aged 13 months, dau. Moira HOWAT d. 21.6.1876 aged 20 years, above Robert HOWAT d. 11.7.1879 aged 68 years, son Jasper HOWAT died Canada 29.5.1878 aged 30 years, wife Janet HOWAT d. 4.5.1893 aged 81 years, dau. Elizabeth HOWAT d. 21.4.1915 aged 75 years, dau. Margaret HOWAT d. 25.3.1916 aged 81 years (widow George HUNTER), dau. Jessie HOWAT d. 22.6.1924 aged 87 years, sis. Margaret HOWAT (hus. Thomas MILLER) d. 15.2.1862 aged 26 years, dao. Margaret Muir HOWAT d. 2.4.1863 aged 10months.

2. by William and Jean LOCHHEAD, father Robert LOCHHEAD, late farmer Smith-harvest, do. 29.7.1866 aged 88 years. THIS GOES ON AND ON BUT THERE IS A sister Isabella LOCHHEAD (husband John HOWAT) died Canada 1.4.1889 aged 66 years.

Hope there is a connection - if you want the remainder of the second inscription, do ask.
