I am descended from Robert Howat, his son, John, who married Margaret Fairlie Young, their daughter, Margaret McLean Young Howat and Alfred Martin, their son, Joseph Martin, his wife Elizabeth (Martin), and my father, Alfred Martin and his wife Ione Woodson Joan Pfost.

I have further information thanks to my cousin in Australia, Carol Sutcliffe Felthouse.
