My records show an Issac Curtis Howd b. 1798 in Conn. m. (1) Anna Johnson (1799-1832-3) m. (2) Widow Polly Rowe (1805-1863).He died in Pontoosuc, Hancock, Illinois 22 Martch 1856. Other Relatives were in Minnesota where is Father Samuel died.There ia book by Clinton A. Howd, Howds in America 1662-1992, published in 1992.I know one copy is in the Family History Library in SLC, Utah.Hope this helps.My ggggrandfather Simeon Fuller Howd (brother to Issac Curtis Howd) was in Iowa in the 1840s, but he had no offspring there and came west in 1847 with the Mormons.
