I am looking for my paternal grandmother's father Nelson Howe. He appears in the 1900 Census for San Francisco California with his wife Mary J. Howe, at which time they are married they three years.

he then appear again with his wife Mary J. and Daughter Maude (my grandmother-age 4) in the 1910 Censu for Alameda Oakland wd 5. The address (hard to read looks like 520 Walsworth. His family is listed as lodgers of his brother in laws house. Andrew baker- Also living in the same house of William T. Baker are Wife Annie Baker (my grandmother's Aunt), Andrew Baker-son, Paul baker-son Bernice Baker and Emma Young-sister inlaw of Andrew Baker (this also is my grandmother;s maternal aunt) Nelson is listed ad a bookkeeper in 1910 census.

Mary J. Howe and daughter Maude Howe are found living at the same address, i the same household of willaim T. baker in 1920 census. Mary J. Howe is listed as being married, but Nelson is not present. Thsi time she is listed as a renter and head of household. Emma young who was listed as part of the household of William Baker (sister in law) is now listed as the sister living in the householf of Mary J. Howe. Also Mary Howe who was not working in 1900 or 1910 is now listed as a clerk for the railroad.

I know my great-grandfather Nelson Howe died between 1924 (according to California death Records and 1927 According to family), but have not found him in any 1920 census.

Please help.
Cordially,
Keith H.Seymour
paternal great-grandson of Nelson Wade Howe
