Thanks Bonnie for answering my forum. Most of the information I have already, but there was some that I didn't know.

However, my burning questions are not answered. When the courts of the Massachusetts Bay Colony issued John as a freeman (or a free man) May 13, 1640, Why was this needed? and for what purpose?

If you or anyone that reads this forum can answer this, I sure would like to hear from them.
