I am seeking further information on Perkins HOWE, and his wife, Nancy DUNLAP, specifically information concerning Nancy’s parentage. Known information follows; many of the published sources (and internet trees relaying upon them) treat this family sparsely and/or incorrectly; the following capsule is based on personal research in town records and is believed to be fully accurate. All seven children of the family who lived to adulthood had issue; accordingly, there are likely many descendants of this couple. All the children remained in Central and Western Massachusetts, although later generations likely moved elsewhere. Corrections, comments, etc. are welcome.
Perkins HOWE, born 21 December 1760, in Marlborough, Middlesex Co. MA, son of Simon & Lydia (Baker) HOWE married Nancy DUNLAP, 01 June 1795 in Littleton, Middlesex Co. MA. She was born say 1770, and was “of Littleton” at the time of her marriage. Perkins died say 1827, likely in Marlborough. Nancy remarried, to Samuel DALRYMPLE, 18 September 1828, in Northborough, Worcester Co. MA. She died 11 May 1841 in Northborough. Issue (surname HOWE):
i. Betsy, born 27 April 1796 in Marlborough, Middlesex Co. MA. She died 23 February 1797 in Marlborough;
ii. Sally, born 03 April 1798 in Marlborough. She married Dana JENNISON, 02 May 1822 in Framingham, Middlesex Co. MA. She died 15 January 1876 in Southborough, Worcester Co. MA, with issue;
iii. Elizabeth “Betsey”, born 22 July 1800 in Marlborough. She married Abel RICE, 23 May 1826 in Hopkinton, Middlesex Co. MA. She died 18 May 1861 in Worcester, Worcester Co. MA, with issue;
iv. John Perkins, born 12 April 1802 in Athol, Worcester Co. MA. He died 13 January 1803 in Athol;
v. John Perkins, born 29 November 1803 in Athol. He married Jane WHEELER, say 1840, perhaps in Conway, Franklin Co. MA. He died 26 February 1876 in Dana, Worcester Co. MA, with issue;
vi. Nancy, born 27 February 1806 in Athol. She married Silas B. DALRYMPLE, 14 October 1832 in Northborough. She died 12 May 1842 in Marlborough, with issue;
vii. Abel, born 12 May 1808 in Athol. He married Eunice Robinson BROWN, 03 December 1835 in Stow, Middlesex Co. MA. He died say 1862, probably in Stow, with issue;
viii. Samuel, born 10 June 1811 in Framingham, Middlesex Co. MA. He married Ann Maria SHUMWAY, say 1839, maybe in Deerfield, Franklin Co. MA. He died 04 July 1869 in Conway, with issue;
ix. Henry, born 14 August 1814 in Marlborough. He married Elizabeth B. WRIGHT, 08 April 1841 in Marlborough. He died 25 June 1883 in Northborough, with issue.
