I am searching for any information regarding my family "Howe". My gr-gr-grandfather, Robert Howe, was born 1836/1837 in Heston, Middlesex, England. I do not know his parents names, or his siblings names. His wife Mary (I believe her maiden name to be Headland, as one of their sons had the middle name Headland) who was born in Hamilton, Scotland around 1840. According to the 1881 Census, they were listed as having 6 children - Robert, Alice, Margaret, Elizabeth & Jessie (twins) and Louisa. There was other children listed on the bible cover, but are not legible. The Howe's have a history of men in the military. Robert Howe, according to his funeral/memorial card he was listed as: "LATE SERGEANT 13th HUSSARS". It states that he died at the age of 57, May 30th, 1892; also that he was interred at Salford Borough Cemetery on June 3rd, 1892, in Weaste.
**My gr-gran also relayed stories of the family being of descendants of Lord Howe. My family is from Edinburgh, and other areas in Scotland
