Hi Kathy,

I don't know if this is what you want but here is this info from the Howe books that I have got , James How of Ipswich,MA & Abraham How Roxbury were brothers and they were the sons of Robert How of Hatfield Broadoak,Essex,England. James How probably came to this country in 1634 / 35 with his father-inlaw John Dane and settled in Roxbury, he married in the Parish of Bishop Stortford,Herts,England to Elizabeth Dane June 27,1628.

Also for your info if you don't already have it, Samuel Gridley Howe's daughter Julia married Michael Anagnos and in 1867 Michael Anagnos became Dr Samuel Gridley Howe's assistant and later succeeded Dr Howe as the director of the Perkins Institution and Ma Asylum for the blind a position he held for many years, his wife Julia died March 10,1886 and they had no children, no death date for Dr Anagnos. e-mail if any further response.
