It is possible that John Hubbard Howry might be the grandson of Abraham Howry, but I have no substantial information to lead me to that conclusion. Warren County, OH is within the range of locales frequented by various of the Trout family and their in-laws. Another parallel is that subsequent generations of Trout family descendants ended up in and around Denver by the turn of the century.

The 1850 Census of La Salle County, IL shows a John Howry, age 22, living in the household of Jacob and Phebe (Trout) Roan. Phebe is Abraham Howry's sister-in-law. By 1850 Abraham Howry was long dead and his wife, Catherine Trout, was in her third marriage (Abraham Howry was her first).

Your John Hubbard Howry could possibly be a son of the above John Howry but I have no information to lead me to that conclusion, other than the name of John and a reasonably likely location (Warren County). I do not know what became of this John Howry, son of Abraham and Catherine (Trout) Howry. If anyone has further information on him, please let me know.
